Electrician

Position Summary

The Electrician is responsible for maintaining and repairing all electrical systems across MorningStar properties, including lighting, power distribution, and generator systems. This position reports directly to the Maintenance Supervisor and supports the overall safety, functionality, and operational excellence of campus facilities.

Essential Functions

• Maintain and repair all lighting fixtures and lighting systems to ensure proper operation
• Maintain electrical systems in a safe, functional, and code-compliant condition
• Perform monthly maintenance and testing of generators
• Review and respond daily to maintenance requests through NiteVision
• Complete electrical repairs and service requests in a timely and efficient manner
• Assist with additional maintenance projects and campus support needs as assigned

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, troubleshooting, and safety procedures
• Working knowledge of National Electrical Code (NEC) standards
• Ability to work with precision, attention to detail, and a high level of safety awareness
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively
• Basic verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a maintenance team environment

Working Conditions

This position involves onsite management of daily electrical and maintenance-related issues. Occasional after-hours, weekend, and emergency response work may be required.

Requirements

· Must have a Valid Driver’s License

· High School Diploma or Equivalent

· Journeyman Electrician License Required

Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
