Electrician

Location: Norwalk, CT

King Industries, Inc. is actively seeking a skilled Electrician to join our Maintenance team. The ideal candidate will possess a high school diploma (or equivalent), have completed 4 years of electrician trade school, and bring at least 2-5 years of experience in troubleshooting and repairing instruments and electrical equipment. A Connecticut State E-1 Electrical License is required for this position.

This role involves performing critical maintenance on electrical equipment and playing an integral part in supporting our plant’s operational excellence year-round.

Skills Required

• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Knowledge of mechanical ability to troubleshoot, repair and maintain electrical and electronic control instruments and process equipment.
• Ability to work overtime and weekends (at least 2 Maintenance Saturdays a month).

Education and Experience Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent and 4 years’ trade school.
• 2-5 years experience as an instrument and equipment troubleshoot and repair electrician.
• Connecticut State E-1 electrical licenses.
• Experience in industrial electrical work preferred.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Read, interpret, and create blueprints to support project completion.
• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain pneumatic/electronic controls, electrical instruments, and equipment.
• Assist with the movement and installation of equipment at various elevations.
• Install conduit, instrument cables, trays, and other necessary support systems for electrical infrastructure.
• Install electrical equipment, including motor control centers and control room systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance on electrical equipment throughout the plant year-round.
• Comply with company safety programs and maintain a safe working environment.
• Work Maintenance Saturdays twice a month, as part of the scheduled maintenance routine.
