Industrial Electrician

Austin Industrial, Inc. - We are currently seeking an experienced INDUSTRIAL ELECTRICIAN to be based in PORT WENTWORTH, GEORGIA. As an industrial electrician, you will be required to conduct general maintenance inspections, perform routine electrical maintenance, respond to faults and wiring issues, and install major electrical equipment. To ensure success as an industrial electrician, you should have high-level problem-solving skills, extensive experience working with industrial electrical systems, and good communication skills.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities

• Performs all functions of the job in a safe manner and promptly reports any unsafe behaviors to the shift supervisor.
• Complies with all company and customer safety policies and procedures.
• Make decisions based on technical documents.
• Advise management on whether continued operation of equipment could be hazardous.
• Completes electrical tasks properly and in timely manner for all types/sizes of electrical & conduit installations/terminations.
• Organizes materials and tools to maintain clean and neat work areas.
• Mentors and provides Helpers/Mechanics with training.
• Install, repair, and maintain electrical components of industrial equipment, such as: electrical motors, motor starters, push button stations, circuit breakers, disconnects, etc.
• Troubleshoot motor and control systems and perform quality testing and inspections.
• Install various types of raceway and cable tray systems
• Install electrical panels, circuit breakers, transformers, lights or other components.
• Install and maintain lighting, fire detection, communication, clock, motor control, machine tool, conveying, process and distributive control systems.
• Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with codes.
