Electrician Apprentice

Key Responsibilities* Installation & Repair: Help install, maintain, and repair industrial electrical systems, motors and control panels for Industrial Woodworking Machinery often working with high-voltage equipment. * Conduit & Wiring: Measure, cut, bend, and install conduit, and pull wires through openings. * Troubleshooting: Assist in diagnosing and correcting malfunctions in electrical equipment. * Safety & Compliance: Adhere to strict safety procedures, codes (like NEC), and regulations. * Tool & Equipment Management: Maintain tools and keep parts and supplies organized. * Blueprint Reading: Learn to read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical documents. * Site Support: Perform general labor, clean work areas, and assist with material handling. * Learning & Training: Receive instruction and training from Plant Electrician and Assembly Floor Supervisor.

Typical Work Environment* Factories, plants, and industrial facilities. * Both indoor and outdoor settings, in extreme hot or cold weather. * May involve physical tasks like digging trenches or working in confined spaces.

Essential Skills & Qualifications* Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand and power tools. * Physical stamina for standing, climbing, and lifting. * Commitment to learning electrical codes and safety protocols. * Good communication and teamwork skills.
