Purpose

The Water Utility Electrician performs skilled electrical installation, maintenance, troubleshooting and repair work at all wastewater treatment plants, water well sites, and wastewater lift stations. This position ensures compliance with Arizona state regulations, safety standards, and operational requirements for water and wastewater facilities.

Accountabilities

• Install, maintain and repair electrical systems including motors, pumps, control panels, and wiring at water and wastewater facilities.
• Troubleshoot electrical issues and perform corrective actions to minimize downtime.
• Inspect and test electrical components to ensure compliance with Nation Electrical Code (NEC) and Arizona Division of Occupational Safety and Health (ADOSH) standards.
