Position Summary

The Electrician is responsible for performing skilled electrical installation, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance work to support safe and efficient plant operations. This role ensures the reliability of electrical systems and equipment essential to production and contributes to continuous improvement efforts that enhance operational effectiveness, safety, productivity, and regulatory compliance.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

Install, diagnose, service, and repair electrical equipment in a 3-phase, 480V industrial environment, as well as 120V AC and 24V DC systems.

Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation to ensure proper installation and operation.

Troubleshoot electrical circuits, motors, VFDs, PLCs, and related components, ensuring issues are resolved efficiently and safely.

Calibrate and adjust electrical control devices, including timers and thermostats, and verify proper function.

Understand and troubleshoot PLC ladder logic and automated control systems.

Inspect electrical equipment during operation to detect overheating, malfunction, or deterioration.
