Electrician Helper

Purpose

To plan/troubleshoot, service, layout, repairs and install wiring, electrical fixtures, apparatus and control equipment. Maintain and operate shop equipment and tools, performing quality work, as safely, quickly and efficiently as possible. Sell the company parts, labor and whole goods service at all times.

Essential Functions

-Service, repair and install wiring, fixtures and apparatus at the direction of foreman.

1. Plan new or modified installations consistent with specifications and local electrical codes

2. Perform any inspections as required.

3. Connects appropriate power cables and perform continuity tests.

4. Repairs faulty equipment and systems.

5. Repair, service or install any needed fixtures and controls.

6. Keep accurate, easy to read records of work performed and turn in daily.

7. Maintain safe work habits

8. Maintain and care for all shop tools, machines and equipment.

9. Suggest any additional repairs needed to service manager and/or customer.

-Periodically review trade bulletins.

-Help maintain cleanliness, neatness and safety of building, lot and job sites.

-Stay current with technical changes.

-Attend company functions and meetings.

-Keep a professional and positive relationship with customers and peers.

-Perform other duties as assigned.
