Job Summary

================

An electrical helper has heavy industrial experience and assists the journeyman electrician in all aspects of safe electrical component assembly and maintenance. A helper will also gain knowledge in drawings, layouts, installs, and repairs of wiring, electrical fixtures, apparatus, and control equipment and will have a basic understanding of electrical drawings and detail sheets.

* Level IV: Competent to complete Journeyman level Electrical tasks with minimal supervision.

Overview of Primary Duties

* Performing various tasks and material handling under the direct supervision of an assigned electrician installing the work.

* Measures, cuts, bends, threads, assembles, and installs electrical conduit using such tools as a hacksaw, pipe threader, and conduit benders under the direct supervision of an assigned electrician. * Assist electricians with properly mounting and installing assigned electrical work, conduit, electrical tray, wires, and devices. * Demonstrate Yates Core Values and Principles * Follow Yates Code of Conduct * Safety Responsibilities and Expectations + Responsible for refusing unsafe work and for carrying out all work by the established Yates Safety Procedures and Work Practices + Report all incidents, near hits, and hazards to management. + Required to wear and maintain personal PPE. + Advise fellow employees of hazardous situations. + Participate in workplace inspections. + Comply with statutory requirements, including duty of care. + Participate in required and assigned training. + Provide suggestions to improve Safety. + Present a mature approach to working safely. + Attend prestart and Safety meetings and contribute. * Other related duties as needed and assigned by Field Supervision. * This is not an all-inclusive list of tasks an employee may be asked to do.
