Electrician Helper

Duties

• Support licensed electricians by preparing work areas, handling hand tools, power tools, and electrical equipment needed for installation and repair tasks
• Assist with reading and interpreting electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to facilitate accurate installations
• Help install, troubleshoot, and maintain low voltage and high voltage electrical systems in accordance with NFPA 70 (National Fire Protection Association standards) and NEC (National Electrical Code) guidelines
• Follow electrical safety procedures diligently to ensure a safe working environment for all team members
• Use testing devices such as ohmmeters to measure electrical resistance and verify circuit integrity
• Aid in the assembly of electrical components on construction sites, including framing carpentry as needed for support structures
• Maintain organized work areas, tools, and materials while adhering to project timelines and safety protocols

Qualifications

• Prior experience working as an electrician helper or in related construction roles is highly preferred
• Familiarity with NFPA 70 compliance, NEC standards, and low/high voltage systems is advantageous
• Ability to read electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings accurately
