A full contract for this position is 240 days, with benefits as specified in employee contract. Contract will be prorated based on actual start date.

QUALIFICATIONS

• High School diploma or GED.
• 2 - 5 years experience preferred.
• Master or Journeyman license preferred.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Commercial / light industrial preferred.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds.
• Ability to push/pull a minimum of 20 pounds frequently.
• Ability to climb up and down ladders of various heights.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Read and interpret blueprints, technical diagrams, and electrical schematics to determine the layout and wiring configurations for electrical systems.
• Diagnose and repair electrical issues such as short circuits, faulty wiring, and malfunctioning equipment. This requires knowledge of electrical systems and the ability to use testing equipment effectively.
• Conduct regular inspections and maintenance to ensure that electrical systems are functioning properly and comply with safety regulations.
• Electricians work with high-voltage electrical systems, so they must follow safety protocols to prevent accidents and injuries. This includes using personal protective equipment, securing work areas, and implementing proper grounding techniques.
• Install, repair and maintain electrical apparatus.
• Examine and identify motor problems and have the ability to tear down, clean up, lubricate, reassemble and to replace bearings, capacitors, starting switches, governors and brushes.
