Electrician

JOB The Clark County Department of Aviation is seeking qualified candidates to apply for the Electrician position. This journey-level position performs installation, repair, maintenance, and remodeling of electrical and electronic equipment and facilities and other lighting systems on a variety of Department of Aviation locations. Further, this position ensures that electrical power is available for airport facilities and its systems. This recruitment will be used to hire for various groups within the Facilities division including, but not limited to, Electrical, Airport Equipment Systems (AES), and Baggage Handling System (BHS).

This examination will establish an Open Competitive Eligibility list to fill current and/or future vacancies that may occur within the next six (6) months or may be extended as needed by Employee Services.

EXAMPLE OF DUTIES Equivalent to graduation from high school AND six (6) years of skilled experience in the electrical trade. Successful completion of a recognized apprenticeship as an electrician may be substituted for four (4) years of the required experience. Attendance at a recognized trade school is desirable, as is experience with electronic controls and experience in an industrial or plant setting.
