NRG Park is in the fast lane for opportunity and excitement. We are a one-of-a-kind premier facility with four major venues within one giant park. NRG Center (one million+ sq. ft. Convention Center), NRG Stadium (home of the Houston Texans and The Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo), NRG Astrodome (“The” Astrodome), and NRG Arena. We are seeking a unique Electrician Apprentice to join our Electrician team. Under general supervision, the Electrician Apprentice performs a variety of semi-skilled and skilled tasks to repair and maintain all electrical equipment in and around the building. Also, acts as liaison between the facility and clients, ensuring all clients’ requirements are met and facility rules, regulations and policies are adhered to.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Include the following

• Troubleshoot all electrical malfunctions.
• Assist repairing all inoperable electrical equipment and circuits.
• Follow preventative maintenance schedule for all electrical machinery, equipment, and wiring.
• Assist with preparing and repairing electrical fixtures and sockets to run the required wires for computer hook-ups.
• Inspect and assist on all electrical work, telephone hook-ups and wiring to ensure the facility meets safety standards.
• Advise the facility of all problems related to the electrical systems.
• Report any damage caused by events to the Supervisor.
• Maintain, order and pick up adequate spare parts and supplies.
• Observe Supervisor advising Construction Contractors, Promoters, Event Coordinators, and others on event’s electrical requirements.
• Assist with special event preparation, conversions, and post event needs, as requested.
• Catalog all work, repairs, and damage in a daily log.
• May perform other duties as assigned.
