ABOUT THE POSITION

Under limited supervision, the Electrical Technician must be capable of performing all tasks in Astec manufacturing electrical department with little to no supervision. Must be able to assemble, evaluate, troubleshoot, and correct deficiencies to make certain product specifications are met. Ensure that work is in accordance with relevant codes. This level of electrician will deal with live energized equipment and be trained and capable of performing all required tests and if necessary de-energize equipment to meet safe standards before proceeding.

PAY RANGE

$24.00 - $31.00 commensurate with experience

Key Deliverables

• Assemble, evaluate, test, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, and apparatus.
• Troubleshoot and repair malfunctioning equipment.
• Construct and fabricate parts, using hand tools and specifications.
• Read and interpret electrical and electrical circuit blueprints and diagrams.
• Perform preventative maintenance on a regular schedule.

Key Activities Responsibilities

• Demonstrate Astec processes in all aspects of the manufacturing electrical department including panel room, construction manufacturing and industrial manufacturing as warranted by workload demands and scheduling needs.
