Electrical Helper - RNC

Primary Responsibilities: Under limited supervision, the electrical helper is responsible for assisting the electrician with maintaining electrical systems in residential and commercial buildings.

Specific Duties & Tasks

Assists with installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical control, wiring, and lighting systems. Reviews electrical blueprints to identify wiring circuits. Inspects electrical components including transformers and circuit breakers. Coordinates with team members to install light fixtures and other items. Uses a variety of industry-specific tools to perform their tasks, including ammeters, voltmeters, thermal scanners, and cable testers. Able to identify wires accurately, with the assistance of the electrician. Maintain a clean and organized job site. Responsible for maintaining a safe workplace and ensuring that safety is the highest priority in the workplace. Responsible for special projects as requested by management and other duties/ responsibilities as assigned to meet the ongoing needs of the organization. Qualifications

At least 1 year of experience electrical service and troubleshooting, preferred. Basic knowledge in the use of hand and power tools used in the trade, preferred. Basic knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and safety practices. Effective oral communication and interpersonal skills. Attention to detail and ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously. Available to work overtime hours.
