Commercial Service Electrician / Journeyman

Overview

American Southwest Electric Arizona is seeking experienced Electrical and HVAC Service Technicians to support commercial and industrial clients throughout the Phoenix metropolitan area and surrounding communities. This is a full-time, tools-on position for motivated professionals who enjoy troubleshooting, problem-solving, and delivering exceptional service.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial and industrial service work, including troubleshooting, maintenance, repairs, and installations. Technicians will work independently and as part of a team to diagnose issues, perform repairs, and ensure systems are operating safely and efficiently.

Experience with controls systems and PLCs is a plus.

Duties

• Diagnose equipment failures and determine corrective actions
• Perform preventive maintenance and service calls
• Ensure all work meets company standards, customer expectations, and applicable codes
• Maintain accurate service documentation
• Communicate effectively with customers, project managers, and team members
• Respond to occasional after-hours, weekend, or emergency service calls as needed

*Electrical*

• Troubleshooting and repair of commercial and industrial electrical systems
• Conduit bending and installation experience
• Knowledge of NEC requirements and industry best practices
• Preventive maintenance and service work
• Experience working with motors, controls, and automation systems

*HVAC*

• Commercial HVAC service and troubleshooting
• Maintenance and repair of rooftop units, split systems, package units, and related equipment
• Ability to diagnose mechanical and electrical HVAC issues
• Familiarity with building automation and control systems
• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair commercial and industrial electrical and HVAC systems
