The Underground Mine Night Shift Electrician is responsible for inspecting, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems and mining equipment to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient underground operations. This position works independently during the night shift to minimize equipment downtime while adhering to all mine safety regulations, electrical codes, and company policies.

Working hours

Sunday 10 pm to 6:30 am

Monday - Thursday 6 pm to 2:30 am

Pay $45 - $55 per hour based on experience

### What You Will Be Doing:

Key Responsibilities

* Perform preventative maintenance on underground electrical systems and mining equipment. * Troubleshoot and repair electrical faults on mobile and stationary mining equipment. * Install, test, and maintain: * + Power distribution systems + Motors and motor controls + Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) + PLC-controlled equipment + Conveyors, pumps, fans, and crushers + Lighting systems * Diagnose electrical and electronic control system failures using testing equipment. * Perform lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures before maintenance activities. * Maintain compliance with MSHA regulations, company safety standards, and electrical codes. * Complete work orders and maintenance documentation accurately. * Communicate equipment status and shift turnover information to supervisors and incoming crews. * Assist with emergency breakdown repairs to minimize production interruptions. * Maintain housekeeping standards in work areas and electrical rooms. ### Work Environment:
