Akima Systems Engineering (ASE) is looking a 2nd Class Marine Electrician to work in Suffolk, Virginia. To join our team of outstanding professionals, apply today!

50% travel required within and outside of the continental United States.

Work Schedule: Monday thru Saturday 10 hours a day (as needed).

Responsibilities: * Marine Electricians install, connect, test, and maintain electrical systems for a variety of purposes, including interior communications. * As a Marine Electrician, you will be essential in maintaining and repairing electrical systems on marine vessels. * Must have knowledge and experience in troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining electronic equipment on board vessels and in shipyard facilities. * Marine Electrician applies basic and some advanced technical knowledge to solve routine problems by interpreting manufacturers' manuals or similar documents. * Work requires familiarity with the interrelationships of circuits and judgment in planning work sequence, in selecting tools, testing instruments, and is reviewed for compliance with accepted practices.
